Effective Technique 2: Make a reasonable request

Trying to persuade someone to do something that is unrealistic will hinder the chances of them agreeing to it. For example, you have a client wishing to book a trip, and they are interested in adventure but unsure of what kind of adventure would be best for them, and one key piece of information they give you is they are afraid of heights. You would not get very far in trying to book them on a zipline tour. Whereas booking them on a spelunking tour would be the better idea.

Spelunking = caving (exploring caves) its an amazing/exciting adventure!

As well as a reasonable request, it also helps to be precise. This will alleviate any questions that may arise, and leave the full basis of the request to be considered openly.
