In order to fairly persuade someone, they must be able to trust you. To do this, have a clear understanding and knowledge of the product/service; be it knowing about a Royal Caribbean Cruise, or the Magic Bullet, you should know as much detail as possible. Also showing experience is beneficial. Trying to sell a product you yourself have never tried, or persuade them to join a company you have never worked for is not a good way to show credibility. If you are in a position where you have to persuade someone and you do not have the necessary experience or knowledge then do research, use testimonials, and/or find experts to help you get your point across.
